Recreational Boating Safety Visitation Program (RBSVP)

RBSVP is an outreach program
sponsored by the USCG and CG Auxiliary that promotes,
encourages and supports boating safety through establishing partnerships with
marine dealerships, marinas, boating/yacht clubs, boat builders, water privileged communities and
other local businesses or organizations (program partners) that interact with
or deliver services to recreational boaters.

RBSVP program goals include:

Helping to create and maintain a high level of awareness, knowledge
and expertise relative to boating safety practices, guidelines, procedures,
issues, topics and considerations
within the recreational boating community

Providing convenient
and timely access to boating safety information, education, training, resources
and assistance
-
Making available relevant boating safety
reminders, information, literature, data and facts at
locations frequented by recreational boaters at or near points
of use
RBSVP, which directly supports the US Coast
Guard’s boating safety mission and activities, is operated by trained and certified Program
Visitors (PV's) who are members of the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary.
RBSVP is NOT tied to any type of LAW ENFORCEMENT activities
RBSVP participation WILL NEVER BE the SOURCE OF a Non-compliance CITATION
RBSVP provides "Partners" ACCESS TO VALUABLE RESOURCES & INFORMATION
RBSVP participation is FREE, PROVIDES VALUE ADDED SERVICE & can HELP SAVE LIVES
